There are many hidden costs that you should be aware of. They are documented here. Obviously the biggest factor in training is your aptitude and the speed at which you learn. It won't be news to hear that generally the younger you are, the faster you learn. The average flight time for completion is roughly 50-55 hours. Sponsorship is sometimes available. From December 1st, the change in VAT brings an average £150 saving!
